About the job

The suitable candidate should have a MSc/BSc in Engineering and a proven track record working in the high tech industry, with previous experience within Operations management, preferably within international, US owned companies. Having a background in R&D or Engineering is also desirable.

This position is a senior leadership role requiring excellent leadership skills, experience from leading a medium/large organization and insights into how to manage change effectively. The ideal candidate should be a forward looking strategist with demonstrated capacity to create, anchor and execute plans and actions.



- Strategic development of supply chain

- Relationship and negotiation skills

Manufacturing technology

- Roadmap Manufacturing plan execution

- Forecast

- Capacity

- WIP/stock size optimization


- Capacity planning (headcount, manufacturing equipment, organization, training)


Knowledge and experience in Swedish labour law and collective bargaining agreements

Ability to work in a multicultural, international environment

Ability to create and maintain trust for Danderyd Ops in the eyes of Trimble’s senior leadership.

Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with people with varied levels of education and work experience, fluent in Swedish and English.

Ability to build relationships throughout the organisation, both internally and externally, in order to create and improve collaboration.

Financial understanding: Budget responsibility, capital investment planning, monitoring of outcome and deviations on a monthly basis, cost approvals according to Trimble’s policy.

About the company

The Danderyd Operations Director is responsible for the Operations organization in Danderyd with approx 160 employees as well as the Hungarian manufacturing facility in Budapest with approx 40 employees. The organization is divided into the following departments; Logistics, Sourcing, Manufacturing Technology, Manufacturing as well as Operational Excellence.

The position has 6 direct reporting managers representing the different departments. This position reports to the VP for Product Operations and is a member of the Danderyd Site Management Team.
